The content throughout this site is created through inspiration, rather than aspiration – through conviction, rather than compulsion. My motivation is from the One who was and is and is to come.

What Is My Why?
The Roman philosopher Seneca (4 BC – 65 AD) said, “While we teach, we learn.” Richard Feynman, a theoretical physicist, later built upon that concept by coining the phrase, “If you want to master something, teach it.” The best way to own and understand a concept is to explain it to someone else. This is one of the reasons I enjoy teaching what I learn, and what I enjoy learning about the most is Jesus. This website exists for an ever-growing number of reasons, including the following:

• A Living Archive – a library of works demonstrating applicable truths of the most important lessons I have learned in life.
• A Resource – a reference point for topics about which I care to make a difference by offering insight and actionable steps toward Biblically-based breakthroughs.
  • To help equip Christians to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s written and spoken Word, and experience His goodness through steps of actionable faith.
  • To exhort the body of Christ by speaking the truth in love.
  • To defend the faith through apologetics by increasing the confidence and competence of the body of Christ.
  • To identify with Christ, and to help others find their identity in Him as well
  • To invite those who have yet to experience the presence of God permission to start a conversation with Jesus.
• A Launching Pad – for collaborative projects including music, art, poetry, filmmaking, and more.

I am not doing this for attention. If I wanted attention, I would post workout videos with my shirt off.
I am not doing this for fun or as a pastime. In fact, I often dread and procrastinate assignments I am given because of the inevitable spiritual battles I must face. Still, the Fruit of Peace always follows obedience (Isaiah 48:18). So, when confronted with the choice of facing a battle or forfeiting Peace, I will always follow Peace.
I do this in obedience, as a labor of love, and because of that, the Holy Spirit fills me with joy.
I do this for an audience of One. He takes care of the rest. After all, I can plant a seed, but only God can make it grow. I want people to like me, but God’s opinion about me is the only one that eternally matters.

My Inspiration | Filled to Pour
The Bible says, “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15). This promise from the Lord has been ever-present throughout my life, since childhood, through many great pastors, mentors, and teachers. In particular, pastor Jentezen Franklin has made a tremendous difference in my life by equipping me with knowledge and understanding. His gift for simplifying the mystery of the Gospel is one of the things that makes him such a special shepherd. He encourages me to stir up my gifts, he inspires me to live for Jesus, and he instructs me on how to act upon my convictions.

“The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 58:11).

My inspiration comes from a well that never runs dry. When I give out of my need and share the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, He fills me to overflowing. When I give and share out of my overflow, He gives me even more (Matthew 13:10-12). Like the story of Elisha and the widow’s oil, it is only when I stop filling vessels that my overflow ceases (2 Kings 4:1-7). For, “to whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48).

My Passion
A friend recently asked me, “what are you passionate about?” I had to stop and think. Throughout my life, there have been many activities about which I have had passion. However, as I grow and change, so do the things for which I have passion. Therefore, the more meaningful question should be, “what have you always been passionate about?” or “what have you been passionate about the longest?”

The more I thought about it, the clearer the answer became. Since I was a child, my passion has always been to help increase the quality of life for other people. In my experience, quality of life is measured by environmental, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health factors. My approach is through a variety of creative vehicles including education, multimedia, technology, art, and most importantly, the written and spoken Word. We serve a creative God, and I am thankful that He made us in His image.

Collaboration > Competition
I consider myself a collaborator rather than a competitor. Few things are more constricting to creativity than a competitive nature. This is because, in competition, there are only three possible outcomes: a winner, a loser, and a ceiling. Collaborators rise above those constructs to accomplish more by not allowing themselves to be weighed down through the trap of comparison.
