About Others
Shining Stars is a tribute to the most influential people throughout my life.
The Ultimate Treasure Hunt
My wife and I lead an international small group that meets online through Free Chapel. We have members from all over the world who have two special things in common: Jesus and Jentezen. Recently, we experienced a surge in physical healing miracles and deliverance testimonies. I’m excited to share what we have been learning, what made the difference, and how your church or small group can become even more effective for the Kingdom of Heaven through a few simple Biblical steps.
Submission
If the idea of submitting is hard, you’re not alone. A common misconception is to believe that submission is a state of forced surrender. This may be true in the octagon, but as co-heirs with Christ, “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).
Hooked on Heaven’s Phonics
I grew up in a Spirit-filled home and church, but it was not until more recently that I received the gift of a heavenly prayer language through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I would like to share my experience with you in order that it might strengthen those who share the gift and encourage those who seek it. Before I begin, I would like to summarize the incomparable benefits of speaking a heavenly language as well as identify distinctions between its manifestations.
The Cave, The Ship and The Lighthouse
If I want God do to something in my life He has never done before, I must be willing to pray something that I have never prayed before. This is a story about faith and fearlessness, or at least the journey that led me to discover how to exercise and operate in these divine inheritances (Romans 12:3. 2 Timothy 1:7). In this three part saga, I revisit the miraculous series of events that led me and my wife to Free Chapel.
Free Chapel: Confessions & Declarations
Each new year, Free Chapel hosts a three week fast, led by Pastor Jentezen Franklin. Fasting isn’t about getting more of God. Fasting is about giving God more of ourselves. Here are some of my favorite confessions and declarations from Free Chapel.
True Grit: Rubbing People the Right Way
I’m thankful for sandpaper people. They are the ones who speak a word of correction into my life whether I like it or not. They get my attention when I’m distracted and point me to Jesus. It was after a recent encounter with one of these sandy friends that I began to ask God, “Have I been like sandpaper to someone? And if so, what kind of sandpaper person and I? Most importantly, what kind of sandpaper person do You want me to be?”
